1/8 inch balsa stripped to about 3/8" and being laid. Very smooth process so far. Looking forward to finishing and then filling with light spackle and fairing out prior to glassing the hull

Hello All from Chip Puccio
Welcome to my blog. I will be documenting my build of an RC (remote control) Sailboat, an IOM (International One Meter).
As the name suggests, it is one meter long or 39.4 inches and will be built out of balsa wood, fiberglass and epoxy. I have experience building with plans and this is my 6th or 7th boat built, my second IOM. Enjoy and please feel free to share any tips, advice or other suggestions.
FYI... for the newbies, there are two servos used to control the boat. One steers the rudder, and the other adjusts the sails to adapt to wind direction.
